He teaches the pupils to face the hardships of life squarely. He teaches them to remain cool and calm in every situation. He teaches them the value of culture. He helps them to become good citizens. He prepares them for future life. Teaching is a lucrative profession nowadays. A teacher teaches the boy for some time and leaves his place of teaching after teaching a few hours.
He is imbued with material spirit. He runs after tuitions and tries to make himself well off. This is not wrong to some extent. Everybody has the right to make his life materially comfortable. He has to build a nation. He must stay in the college and school to build and shape the character of his students. The teaching profession lends dignity and respect to the teachers.
It is a rewarding profession. Even in this commercial society, the teachers are loved and respected by their students. The students who make progress in different fields of life bow to their teachers respectfully when they visit their office or chamber. They pay full respect to them and help them in their difficulties and hardships.
The modern teacher has no doubt lost his respect and dignity in society owing to his loose habits. He is not now a man of cultured habits. He is not disciplined. His habits are low and shallow. In order to rebuild his image, a teacher must rise above petty ideas. He must rise above religious bias, sectarian feelings and narrow-mindedness.

This post belongs to chapt…. For years in this field, I would be happy to say, that is not an easy job. Will the students remember me after they have become a successful person? To start with, an ideal teacher is someone who is willing to get up every morning with great excitement to teach. Students do not like a harsh teacher. A teacher who is always find fault with the work of his students in any task and scold them a lot, is an object of fear for them.
Such a teacher is respected by the students from outwards only, he is not respected by the students from the bottom of their heart. An ideal teacher should, therefore, have a good personality and abundant knowledge. He should know the psychology of students and also their individual problems. Knowledge is ever growing and so an ideal teacher should always prepare his lessons before he enters the class. He should be able to make the students feel interested in their subject and know that their minds are growing under his teaching.
An ideal teacher is confident in his class. His voice is clear. What he says should have clarity. If he has knowledge of allied subjects, it would also help him to teach better. He is punctual, neatly dressed and disciplined.

An ideal teacher is well trained for his job and is scientific in teaching and evaluation. An ideal teacher is devoted to his work. Only those with an aptitude for teaching would prove to be ideal teacher.
My perception of an ideal teacher is of a good human being, | kind, compassionate, understanding and forgiving-some f one, who is interesting and fun loving, someone, who loves m us and can make teaching interesting. Teaching is considered to be a noble profession but today people opt for this profession without giving a thought [ ]. A teacher’s profession is an ideal profession. Yet all teachers are not ideal. There are many who are angry, beat students, scold them right and left, do not look neat in appearance, have no affection for students, are interested only in increasing their income, keep no touch with books, and are too much inclined to politics.
The ideal teacher is a problem solver, he/she understands the students psychology, is an idol for his/her students, a good guide, and a motivator. Students have a tendency to assume that their teacher will come up with a solution for all their problems.
